Chief: 1 year later

I can't believe it's been a year since we brought home our baby boy, Chief, and find it even harder to believe we will actually be bringing home our first human baby boy almost a year and a month later. Crazy how so much can change/happen in a year! I wanted to share just how much Chief has grown. He is by far the most loving dog I have ever known and is absolutely spoiled rotten. I think he is going to love Sawyer to pieces and can't wait to see how they bond- nothing like a boy and his dog.

Happy Valentine's Day!!

The Hubs and I will celebrate our 7th wedding anniversary in December and welcome our first child in March. But today marks the 9th Valentines Day the Hubs and I have shared together. In celebration of the big day I have compiled photos of us through the past 9 years. *Warning-photo overload.

 Our first date.

Day we found out we were having a little BOY!

And this is a real portrait of our relationship........oh how I love this man.

Don't worry he receives his fair share. We are always up to something.

I still cannot believe God blessed me with such an incredible man. He is truly a best friend and someone that I love to spend time with. We truly enjoy each others company and make one another laugh. Not to mention he puts up with all my crap and knows how to keep me in check - not that that ever happens. So here's to the Man that I love so dearly. I can't wait to spend another 50+ Valentines with you! I love you forever. -M

Valentine Print Out for Children's Church

On the first Sunday of each month I teach Kid's Konnection, which is the same thing as Children's Church if you were wondering. Since this month is February I thought I would kick it off with a Valentine for each student. I decided rather than buying a couple boxes of Valentine cards I would make my own. Here's what I came up with.

The kids in my class can get picky about chocolate candy so I decided to go with blow pops which are easier to handle, messier to some extent but none the less a very popular and easy to work with candy. I also tied the message into the candy. Blow pop- blows me away, get it?

I created the design above and edited it to fit 4 of the same images onto an 8x10 sheet of paper. All you need to do after this is cut them into squares and cut 2 slits diagonally to insert the stick of the blow pop. Now you have a gender neutral, Christ centered Valentine for your class. Since I only have access to a black and white printer I bought bright colored paper to use to make them. They turned out so cute and the kids loved them.

Here are a few links to some other fabulous free printable Valentine Cards.

Healthy Toe Nails

I was just wondering how many people scrub their toenails when they shower? Do you neglect your little piggies when you bathe? I admit I'm not one to "thoroughly" scrub each toe every time I shower but after reading about the bacteria that grows on your tootsies and how much better your toenails will look if you do, I think I will make a conscious effort to do a little better. Since being pregnant and because it's winter my bare toes are usually snug as a bug in a rug in my uggs but I think I will give them a little extra TLC from here on out-especially with Spring & Summer approaching. I'm looking forward to wiggling my pretty painted toes in the sun and sporting some toe baring sandals or flops! Here's to happier and healthier piggies for us all.

Pregnancy- what they don't tell you.

 VIA

So you just found out you are expecting and are all consumed with ethereal thoughts of how you are about to grow life within your womb and bring a new being into this world..... Yeah that's all great and wonderful but just wait until reality hits along with all the things you weren't warned about during pregnancy. Now don't get me wrong here, I'm not saying pregnancy isn't a beautiful thing because it is and when it's all said and done you receive the most amazing gift ever! I'm just saying be warned that pregnancy is not all glitz, glam and the most wonderful nine months of your life- and for those of you who say it is you are either lying or are not normal to begin with, just kidding, a little. Anywho, I came across a post on Pregnant Chicken, which is without a doubt one of the funniest pregnancy/baby/mommy hood blogs out there, and knew I had to share. As an 8.5 months pregnant woman I wish I had been warned about some of these things before pregnancy, just so I would have been a little more prepared and had less WTF? moments. I'm not saying you will experience all 20 but a combination of many perhaps. I sure as heck did/do. One thing I will add that the list doesn't cover is that as I am approaching week 33 your little growing miracle baby bump becomes quiet cumbersome. I didn't realize just how unmanageable my little miracle would be. So just be prepared to struggle to move about during your later weeks in pregnancy. Getting out of the car-  getting out of bed- putting on your underwear- sleeping -BENDING OVER TO PICK UP SOMETHING YOU DROPPED- all uncomfortable and cumbersome!! But again, totally worth it in the end.

So from me to you- go check out the post HERE and get yo game face on for the next 9+ months of your life. Although, it doesn't really end there either.
Hope you enjoy.
